Between Worlds I (2020) showcases a series of small works made of timber offcuts and mixed media beeswax encaustic, together with an animation. The work explores the polarities of grief and hope in the current ‘Anthropocene age’, and draws on the deep recurring patterning within nature, that nourishes and sustains us.
The exhibition is both an elegy to lost forests and reefs, and an evocation – calling up energy to restore these natural systems.
